Amazing Earth VR takes students to incredible locations they would never otherise be able to visit. Students enage in immersive VR experiences designed to teach them core concepts in the areas of sustainability and the interconnections between our physical world.

The VR experience is multiplayer where up to 6 students are placed together in a free roam experience where they are asked questions, must scan and examine their environment, and solve puzzles.

There are also accompanying worksheets to be completed by small groups that use image based Augmented Reality. Students must examine the augmented reality sculptures they find and answer questions based on what they have found.

 

  • What is the target grade?
    Grade 3 - 8 is the current recommendation.
  • How long does the excursion go for?
    An excursion goes for 30 minutes per chosen experience. The standard package is for two experiences/one hour. This is 30 minutes of VR, and 30 minutes of AR worksheets.
  • How many students can we cater for?
    Up to 32 students can be engaged at a time. We are happy to assist with larger groups we would just need to cycle them through. For example we might have class 1 of 25 kids from 10 - 11, class 2 of 30 kids from 11 - 12 etc. A minimum of 12 students is required to access the discounted pricing.
  • What are the costs?
    $15 per student for an hour booking.
  • Do you provide lesson plans and linked learning?
    Absolutely. Please see below copies of detailed lesson plans linked to each experience. We recommend applying them with the class within the week prior to your excursion.
  • Are the experiences linked with curriculum learning?

  • Where can I find your public liability and safety documentation?
    We hold $20m in public liability. Linked is our current certificate of currency. There is also a detailed risk control/management we have created for use here. Our VR education product is designed to provide an immersive and engaging learning experience that brings curriculum concepts to life. Developed in close collaboration with teachers and education specialists, it has been rigorously tested and refined (a lot!!) to ensure it meets the needs of both educators and students. By leveraging the power of virtual reality, we create dynamic, interactive environments that enhance comprehension and retention, making complex topics more accessible and memorable.

Aligned with the Australian Curriculum, our VR experience seamlessly integrates with classroom learning objectives. Through extensive feedback and real-world testing, we have tailored each module to reinforce key educational outcomes, ensuring that students gain valuable insights in a way that is both meaningful and enjoyable. Our commitment to educational integrity means that every aspect of the program is designed to support and make things easy for teachers and schools in delivering engaging and effective learning for kids.

To maximize the learning impact, we provide a detailed lesson plan for students to complete before their VR session. This pre-visit preparation ensures that they arrive with foundational knowledge, allowing the virtual experience to deepen their understanding and highlight key learning points. Gears and Gadgets

Many of the experiences offered at Metaphysica are created by the company itself. The Stem learning package offers students a chance to try one of our interactive experiences (VR Escape Room) and then chat with some of the developers on how it was created.

​

The chat includes discussion on the nature of computer coding and development, the challenges of working in Virtual Reality, and how we take advantage of and leverage the power of VR.

​

Students will then split into small groups and try to develop a project plan that takes advantage of VR using the learning they just acquired.

School Fun day!

Just looking for a fun and exciting experience for the kids to enjoy? Students will have unlimited use of all of our attractions which includes:

  • VR UFO Ride Machine - Travel to outer space, back in time or deep under the ocean!

  • Retro Arcade Machines - X-men, street fighter, pacman and more!

  • VR Mini Games - Cook some burgers, fight zombies, or explore a haunted hospital

  • VR Escape Rooms - Escape a wizards tower, explore the hidden pirates cove, or stop a mad doctor on a runaway train!

  • Console play - Fortnite, Mario Kart, BubbleBobble or Minecraft. Something for everyone

  • Giant Board games. Jenga or Connect 4. HUGE fun!

How It Works

Groups are divided into multiple teams. Teams are then placed in separate simulation rooms but both teams can play the same game at the same time or choose to play different games!

 

Who will win? What matters most - your team's score or the time it takes to escape? Play the game to find out.

About Our Facilities

Metaphysica has two VR rooms that can support up to six people in a room per session, so twelve people can play at once.

 

If you like to eat cake, good news! Our reception area is a space where guests can relax, snack and play video games while waiting for those still playing.

VR Gear

All players will wear wireless HTC Vive Focus 3 headsets, weighing only 785 grams.

 

These headsets will allow you to move freely and interact in VR. All Metaphysica equipment is very comfortable and most players forget they are wearing it after a while.

The VR Rooms

Our two Virtual Reality rooms are monitored by our staff members while your game is being played. Metaphysica Game Masters’ can communicate with you via microphone and see your game in both the virtual and physical world. Game Masters will offer assistance if required.
