User Interface
Create with Code uses the Unity game engine and teaches students how to use C# coding. It is a challenging course and we not recommend it for those just looking for something 'fun', rather those that have a real interest in game development and coding and are willing and wanting to learn.
Each student will be provided with a workbook to track their progress, and reflect on what they have learned.

MineCraft: Education
Difficulty: Easy to Medium
Recommended age: 7 - 12
Days: Tuesday and Thursday
MineCraft Education uses a gamified and gentle way to introduce kids to coding. It includes a mixture of 'Hour of Code' challenges, and a fundamentals course teaching kids about core coding concepts.
This style of learning is similar the 'scratch' visual coding style if you have heard kids mention that before. It is easy to get into but does ramp up in difficulty. At the higher stages it starts introducing students to the python coding language.
This course is much more suited for those kids just looking for a fun activity that may be overwhelmed by the challenge of Unity.
Each student will be provided with a workbook to track their progress, and reflect on what they have learned.

The Forge
Difficulty: Hard
Recommended age: 10+
Days: Wednesday
The Forge is a time for our advanced students to start creating and developing their own games. Either a full Minecraft Mod, maybe a web game, or even a VR title.
This course is only for those students that have completed all or most of our other courses on offer and want to take those skills to the next level and start creating something amazing.
Staff will guide and assist, however this is a free form class for students with advanced skills. We can provide access to extra tech such as VR headsets to dev on, or web server for building and testing.
Student projects will be stored on site, with options for remote access and cloud saves as appropriate.
